Bilt Rewards members can now transfer points to Japan Airlines Mileage Bank at a 1:1 ratio. This new partnership expands Bilt's travel options, allowing members to redeem points for flights on Japan Airlines and its extensive oneworld alliance network, encompassing over 1,000 destinations worldwide. The transfer process is initiated through the Bilt app and is generally instant, although new JAL Mileage Bank accounts (less than 60 days old) may experience a seven-day waiting period for redemption. Minimum transfer amounts vary based on Bilt membership status: 2,000 points for Blue members and 1,000 points for Silver, Gold, or Platinum members. Transfers must be in 1,000-point increments. This addition complements Bilt's existing roster of transfer partners, which includes major airlines and hotel loyalty programs such as Accor, Aer Lingus, Air Canada, Air France/KLM, Alaska Airlines, Avianca, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Hilton Honors, Iberia, Southwest, TAP Air Portugal, Turkish Airlines, United, Virgin Red, IHG Rewards, Marriott Bonvoy, and World of Hyatt. All transfers with these partners maintain a 1:1 ratio. The partnership with Japan Airlines significantly enhances the value proposition of Bilt Rewards, providing members with more flexibility and choice when redeeming their points. Recent improvements to the Bilt Rewards program also include simplified point earning on rent payments, even without a Bilt Mastercard. While there's a potential for a future bonus for linking accounts, users are advised to check the Bilt website for the latest information and transfer instructions.
