BMO Harris is offering two enticing bonuses for new business checking accounts, providing an opportunity to earn up to $750. This offer is available to new business customers located in Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The bonuses are tiered, offering different rewards based on maintained account balances.
To qualify for the $350 bonus, maintain an average collected balance of $4,000 to $24,999.99 over 120 days and complete ten electronic transactions. For the $750 bonus, maintain an average collected balance of $25,000 or more over the same 120-day period and also complete ten electronic transactions. Qualifying transactions include ACH transfers, online bill payments, mobile deposits, wire transfers, and debit card purchases. ATM transactions and POS credits do not qualify.
The bonus will be deposited into the new checking account within 14 days of meeting the requirements, around day 130. The account must remain open and in good standing with a balance greater than zero on the payment date. Eligible accounts include BMO Digital Business Checking, BMO Simple Business Checking, BMO Premium Business Checking, and BMO Elite Business Checking.
Existing BMO Harris business checking customers or those who have closed an account within the past 12 months are ineligible. While there's no direct deposit requirement, maintaining the required balance is crucial. BMO Harris also offers a $1,000 bonus for an Elite Business Money Market account, but it requires a $100,000 deposit, which may not be practical given current interest rates.
While BMO Harris has had some reported customer service challenges in the past, the absence of a direct deposit requirement and the potential for a substantial bonus make this offer worth considering.
