This brings the total number of curated hotels to over 3,100 in 114 countries. The expansion includes a diverse range of luxury hotels, such as the Collegio alla Querce in Florence, Italy (Fine Hotels + Resorts), the Omni Bedford Springs Resort and Spa in Pennsylvania (The Hotel Collection), and the Regent Santa Monica Beach in Los Angeles (Fine Hotels + Resorts). Amex highlights that 70% of the newly added properties offer enhanced value-added benefits, including complimentary valet parking, minibar items, and unique welcome amenities. These additions aim to provide cardholders with more choices and luxury travel experiences. Platinum card members booking through Amex Travel receive exclusive perks. For The Hotel Collection, two-night stays or more unlock benefits like booking credits, property credits, and potential early check-in/late check-out and room upgrades. Fine Hotels + Resorts bookings offer a guaranteed 4 p.m. check-out, complimentary breakfast for two, and up to a $100 property credit, a unique benefit among credit card issuer programs. Furthermore, Platinum cardholders receive a $200 annual statement credit on prepaid bookings through Amex Travel, with rumors suggesting a potential increase to $600 and expansion to Business Platinum cards.
