BA Cityflyer Reveals Three New European Summer Routes for 2026
British Airways' subsidiary, BA Cityflyer, has announced the launch of three new European routes for the Summer 2026 season, expanding its network and offering fresh travel options. These new services include flights from London City to Toulon, London Stansted to Olbia, and notably, a new route connecting Glasgow to San Sebastian.
The London City to Toulon route, optimistically marketed as ‘Toulon Saint-Tropez' (actual airport: Toulon–Hyères, 30 miles from Saint-Tropez), will operate twice-weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays from May 23rd to September 1st. This complements BA Cityflyer's existing services to Nice, Bergerac, and Chambery.
From London Stansted, BA Cityflyer will fly to Olbia, Sardinia, twice a week on Saturdays and Sundays, between May 23rd and September 27th. This new offering supplements the current London City to Olbia services, which run up to five times weekly, with the Stansted flights utilizing aircraft that rotate between London airports.
The third significant addition is the Glasgow to San Sebastian, Spain, route. This service will run twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays, from July 18th to September 8th, enhancing regional connectivity. Existing services to San Sebastian from Edinburgh (twice weekly) and London City (three times weekly) will continue.
All new flights are immediately available for booking using either cash or Avios, with excellent Avios availability expected due to their recent release. Travelers should note that BA Cityflyer operates an Embraer 190 fleet with 2×2 seating. Club Europe does not feature an 'empty middle seat' policy, and London City Airport lacks lounge access. For economy passengers, seats ahead of the exit row offer more legroom following recent fleet densification, though it's advised not to sit too close to Club Europe to avoid potential cabin reconfigurations.
