Hilton Honors Cruises: Explora Journeys Partnership Unveiled
Hilton Honors is venturing into the cruise industry through a new partnership with Explora Journeys, a luxury cruise line that is part of the MSC Group. This collaboration, integrated into the new Hilton Honors Adventures initiative which also includes AutoCamp, will enable members to earn and redeem Hilton Honors points on Explora Journeys cruises starting in Summer 2026.
While Explora Journeys currently operates two ships, it plans to expand its fleet to six vessels by 2028, indicating a phased but significant growth trajectory for the partnership. In the interim, Hilton Honors members can access an exclusive deal for new cash bookings: 100,000 bonus Hilton Honors points per suite, a ship credit ranging from $/€200 to $/€400, and a welcome gift. This offer is valid for bookings made by June 7, 2026, for sailings completed by December 31, 2028.
Explora Journeys targets the luxury sector with “all-suite” ships, offering premium amenities such as floor-to-ceiling windows, private sun terraces, walk-in wardrobes, heated bathroom floors, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, custom mini-bars, and espresso machines. Their diverse itineraries span regions like the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Iceland, Greenland, the Caribbean, and Alaska, exemplified by a detailed “northern odyssey” itinerary from Reykjavik to Quebec City.
The primary risk or limitation is the initial “slow burn” due to Explora's small fleet, meaning full earn and spend opportunities will be limited until the official launch and fleet expansion. However, the long-term benefits for Hilton Honors members seeking high-end cruise experiences are substantial, paralleling similar loyalty partnerships like Global Hotel Alliance with Regent Seven Seas cruises.
