TD Bank is offering a lucrative bonus of up to $590 for opening new checking and savings accounts. The promotion, extended until June 30, 2025, provides two checking account options: the TD Beyond Checking account offers a $300 bonus with a $2,500 direct deposit within 60 days, while the TD Complete Checking account offers a $200 bonus with a $500 direct deposit within the same timeframe. Additionally, a $200 bonus is available for opening a Signature or Simple Savings account, requiring a $10,000 deposit maintained for 90 days. These bonuses can be combined for a maximum of $500. An additional bonus of $60-$90 is offered through third-party platforms like Swagbucks or InboxDollars. Eligibility is restricted to residents of specific states (CT, DE, DC, FL, ME, MD, MA, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, SC, VT, VA) and excludes existing TD Bank customers or those with recently closed accounts. The TD Beyond Checking account has a $25 monthly fee waived with a $2,500 minimum balance. The TD Complete Checking account has a $15 monthly fee waived with a $100 minimum balance. Savings account fees are waived when linked to a checking account. While the bonus offers a potentially high return, especially the savings account bonus which yields an 8% return, there are requirements to maintain minimum balances for specific durations. Direct deposits are required for checking bonuses, but ACH transfers might be a viable alternative. The article also cautions that the bonus will be reported as taxable income.
