Capital One is making significant changes to its Venture X and Venture X Business card lounge access benefits, impacting both primary and additional cardholders. Starting February 1, 2026, additional cardholders will no longer receive complimentary lounge access; instead, they'll need to pay an annual fee of $125 per cardholder to access Capital One Lounges, Capital One Landings, and Priority Pass lounges. The number of additional cardholders allowed varies, with a limit of four for Venture X Business and no limit for personal Venture X cards.
Furthermore, guest access policies are changing. For Priority Pass lounges, starting February 1, 2026, guests will no longer enjoy complimentary access. Venture X primary and eligible additional cardholders will have to pay $35 per guest, per visit. Venture X Business cardholders maintain complimentary access for two guests, but this benefit is not extended to additional cardholders. The Venture X Business Mastercard version will also lose access to Priority Pass non-lounge airport experiences (like select restaurants) starting September 9, 2025.
Changes also affect Capital One Lounges and Landings. From February 1, 2026, guests will no longer have free access. However, primary and eligible additional cardholders spending at least $75,000 annually across all cardholders on their Venture X or Venture X Business account can bring up to two complimentary guests to Capital One Lounges and one to Capital One Landings. This complimentary guest access is valid for the year of the $75,000 spend and the following year. A discounted guest rate of $45 per visit remains, with a further discount of $25 for guests under 17 (children under 2 remain free). These changes represent a significant reduction in the value proposition for Venture X cardholders, particularly those who frequently utilize lounge access benefits.
