Capital One is making significant changes to its Venture X and Venture X Business card lounge access benefits, impacting both primary and additional cardholders. Starting February 1, 2026, additional cardholders will no longer receive complimentary lounge access; instead, they can purchase an annual $125 pass. This applies to both personal and business cards, though the business card allows for up to four additional cardholders to purchase access while the personal card has no limit.
Changes also affect guest access. For Priority Pass lounges, guest access will become a paid service at $35 per guest per visit starting February 1, 2026, with exceptions for Venture X Business cardholders, who retain complimentary access for two guests. For Capital One Lounges and Landings, guest access will also be restricted. Beginning February 1, 2026, only primary cardholders and eligible additional cardholders who spend at least $75,000 annually across all cardholders on their account will receive complimentary guest access (two guests for Capital One Lounges, one for Landings). This complimentary access is valid for the year of spending and the following year. Discounted guest access remains at $45 per guest per visit. A discounted rate of $25 is also available for guests under 17 starting June 3, 2025. Finally, Priority Pass non-lounge airport experiences will be removed from Venture X Business card benefits starting September 9, 2025. These changes represent a substantial reduction in the value proposition of the Venture X cards, particularly for those relying on complimentary guest access. Cardholders should carefully review these changes and consider whether the remaining benefits justify the annual fee.
