Hilton Honors Boosts Autumn Promo: 2,500 Bonus Points Per Stay
Hilton Honors has significantly upgraded its autumn/winter promotion, boosting the bonus points awarded per stay by 66%. Initially, the promotion offered 1,500 bonus points for every stay completed between October 1st and December 31st. However, following the release of its third-quarter financial results, which showed a decline in REVPAR (revenue per available room) and weak US demand, Hilton decided to enhance the offer.
Effective immediately, but not backdated to previously completed stays, participants now automatically receive 2,500 bonus Hilton Honors points per stay. Existing members do not need to re-register or re-book any existing reservations; the increased bonus applies automatically. New participants can still register for the promotion on the Hilton website. Key terms include no minimum stay requirement, existing bookings counting, no cap on bonus points earned, participation from all Hilton brands (e.g., Hilton, Hampton, Curio, Waldorf Astoria, Conrad), and eligibility for reward nights as well as cash stays. The offer remains valid until December 31st.
This improved bonus is particularly beneficial for guests undertaking shorter, one-night stays, especially at more affordable Hilton brands like Hampton by Hilton. Valuing Hilton Honors points at approximately 0.33p, the 2,500 bonus points equate to about £8.33 per stay. This represents a substantial return on a £75 to £100 stay, in addition to base points and elite status bonuses. The promotion also conveniently stacks with the recently launched American Express cashback offer, providing £50 back on £200 spent at Hilton properties. While less appealing for longer or more expensive stays, the simplicity and increased value make it worthwhile, even prompting a recommendation to register just in case travel plans emerge.
