Liverpool John Lennon Airport Unveils New Aspire Lounge

Liverpool John Lennon Airport has significantly upgraded its passenger experience with the opening of a new, expanded Aspire lounge, announced in March and superseding the previous facility. This substantial development addresses past issues, particularly for Priority Pass holders, by tripling capacity. The new lounge spans 750 square metres and can accommodate 200 people, featuring a tiered approach with two distinct areas: the main Aspire Lounge, offering 150 seats, and the premium Luxe by Aspire space, with 55 seats.

Luxe by Aspire is an adults-only zone designed for a more exclusive experience, providing premium drinks, food, and private booths. Liverpool is only the second airport, after Newcastle (May 2024), to feature this enhanced Luxe concept. Both lounges are conveniently located through duty-free, on the right, opposite Sable & Co bar and next to JD Sports, operating daily from 4 am to 9 pm.

The standard Aspire Lounge is priced at £45.99, with discounts for over 65s and children. Upgrading to the Luxe Lounge costs £55 for cash payers, though Priority Pass holders might be able to upgrade for an estimated £15, based on Newcastle's pricing. A key benefit of the new facility is the inclusion of its own toilets, a notable improvement over the old lounge. The interior design thoughtfully reflects Liverpool's rich heritage, with the main lounge echoing the grandeur of the Three Graces (Royal Liver, Cunard, Port of Liverpool Buildings) and featuring a mural depicting the Albert Dock and Pier Head. The Luxe lounge boasts a unique digital canvas artwork reimagining The Beatles' “Images of a Woman,” celebrating the city's musical legacy. While the Aspire website currently lists the same menu for both lounges, clarification has been sought regarding Luxe's specific premium offerings, which could be a minor point of ambiguity for guests. This expansion marks a significant enhancement for travellers seeking a relaxing start to their journey.
